With the extremely rigorous rountines which soldiers have every day,peak physical fitness is a requirement, not an option. Even though a few of the army’s members might not have to be quite as fit, such as staff doctors, it is still true that almost every member of the army is is extremely good physical condition. Periodic evaluations are performed on soldiers so that it can be verified that they continue to be in good shape to do their job.
The army physical fitness test is usually administered by some of the officers to others in the army. The army physical fitness test is most demanding because of the responsibilities of each soldier.
The standards for these physical fitness tests are so high because the army is a large group dependent upon it’s every member. When one of the members is physically unfit, it can cause the whole team to suffer as a result.
The Army Physical Fitness Test Is Available For Others
The army physical fitness test is used to keep the members of that group in shape, but the important features of the army physical fitness test are available for other people. Some people realize that this is a tool to keep soldiers in great shape so they use it as a standard to make sure that they are in great physical shape.
Even though ordinary people don’t really need to meet the same fitness goals as army members do, these fitness standards are a wonderful way to maintain top fitness levels for anybody. It is very special to be able to say you can meet the high standards of army fitness.
Three different fitness evaluations are part of the army physical fitness test. The first two tests are based on meeting a minimum number of push-ups and sit-ups. After that, a two mile run must be done by each soldier in a set period of time. Based on the number of points earned, the overall test results will be pass or fail. Even though non-army test takers might not meet such strident goals in the beginning, these are good goals to strive for.
The army fitness test is divided into requirements based upon age group. Allowances are made for age, with younger people having higher requirements. However, even the older soldiers must still meet some very exacting standards.
